Alina Orchestra is delighted to work in partnership with Milton Keynes Music Hub to present a brand new event for Milton Keynes Music Students. The side-by-side showcase event features the Wind, String and Orchestral Groups that the Hub has created. Young Hub Musicians will sit side-by-side with professional musicians from the orchestra for an educational day that combines a rehearsal (under the baton of the orchestra’s Musical Director, Hilary Davan Wetton) with a final performance in concert form to an audience of family and friends.
The Showcase will bring together young aspiring musicians, in the very early stages of learning their instrumental craft, with more experienced students alongside professional musicians with the aim of inspiring them to continue with their studies. The professionals will work with students during the process of rehearsal and performance, enabling them to develop their ensemble playing and performance skills whilst gaining a practical insight into the demands of being a professional musician. Ultimately, its aim is to inspire young players to think about a career in music and, to pursue further opportunities.
