Mozart Plus
Tonight’s concert features the brilliance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart across three distinct forms. Filled with light melodies and a charming dance-like quality, his Divertimento, K136 is a delightful introduction to the composer’s youthful energy. One of Mozart’s most beloved concertos, No.23 in A major showcases both the virtuosity of the soloist and a rich interplay with the orchestra. The concert concludes with the majestic Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major – a powerful and dramatic work which exemplifies Mozart’s genius for crafting profound emotional depth within the classical form.
We are joined for pianist, Antoine Preat for this concert “one of the most gifted pianists of the young generation”. Antoine is supported by the City Music Foundation.
